The Industrial Adhesives division of Henkel in Düsseldorf, and Bayer Faser GmbH in Dormagen, have jointly developed an innovative bonding system for elastic attachments on diapers.

It consists of a newly developed elastic fiber from Bayer and a specially adapted hotmelt from Henkel's Sanicare® range. The outstanding advantage: Thanks to the optimally tuned combination of the adhesive and the innovative elastane, the fiber can be processed using less adhesive and at higher stretching rates. For the customer, this means a substantial reduction in raw materials input and hence costs. The system solution saves customers time and effort in development and in adapting materials from different suppliers. This cooperation also benefits Henkel and Bayer: Besides offering existing customers an even better reason to stay with Sanicare, it is expected to generate considerable additional business.
