Due to the innovative approach of the MIT Initiative and the Henkel Smile Program Henkel has won several awards during the last years:


 

Awards within Germany

 2006  Koerber-Foundation, Germany, awards the MIT Initiative in the Transatlantic Idea Contest "USable",  topic: Transitions in life.
 2005  Government of North-Rhine-Westphalia,  Ministry of Economic Affairs and Labor awards the Henkel Smile program with the "ENTERPreis"
 2004  UNESCO honours the MIT children project "Baan Gerda"
 2003  Agenda 21 - Best-Practice-Example, awarded by the Government in North-Rhine-Westphalia
 2003  Children’s Charity of Germany awards the MIT children projects with the award; "Goldene Goere"
 2003  The national contest "Freedom and Responsibility" awards the MIT Initiative with the second prize
